If an old-fashioned cowboy Christmas sounds just right, Christmas at the End of the Road is a magical weekend of holiday spirit in true western tradition. Wrap up your Thanksgiving weekend with storytelling and a Night Hot Air Balloon Glow on Friday, November 28. Saturday, November 29th, brings more family fun with the Christmas at the End of the Road 5K and 1K Run, a visit from Santa, campfires caroling and fireworks and other activities throughout the day. Following is a list of scheduled activities:
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28:
2-4 pm – Storytelling at the Trail’s End Bookstore with Grandma Winthrop
5-6 pm – Night Hot Air Balloon Glow by Morning Glory Balloon Tours
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29:
Noon – Christmas at the End of the Road 5K Run and 1K Kids Fun Run. Register between 12:00 noon and 12:45pm at Winthrop Mountain Sports. No pre-registration required.
1pm – Santa Arrives!
2-4 pm – Children’s Winter Fest (at the Barn).
- Free Santa Photos – Winthrop Kiwanis
- Tractor Rides from the Barn to Downtown
- Hot Chocolate, cookies, hot dogs and chips- Women’s Auxiliary and Winthrop Auditorium
3pm – Camp fires on Riverside Avenue – Methow Valley Snowmobile
3-5pm Caroling – meet at Town Hall
5 pm – Town Lighting
6 pm – Fireworks Extravaganza!!
