Primitive Skills Camp for Kids

Mon-Thu, Jun 15-18 & Jun 22-25, 2015

KidsCamp2015Katie Russell is hosting two sessions of day camps this summer for all the wild youngsters out there who want to come learn primitive, wilderness, and survival skills.

The first session, June 15-18, is for ages 7-9. The second session, June 22-25, is for ages 10-12. The cost is $125 per child.
Katie will also be doing a program at the Twisp Library on June 30 from 1:30-2:30 pm, so come on out and go wild!
Paperwork for the camps is available on Katie’s website at www.wilderbabe.com. New this year, you can pay for camp via Paypal directly through the website. Cash and check accepted as well.

Here’s a little information on what to expect:

Each morning we will open with a circle to join us all together that might include stories and songs that set the theme for the day. After morning circle we will move into working on a variety of primitive skills projects that may include rawhide craft, cordage techniques, cattail weaving, friction fire, shelter craft, and/or other exciting skills.  The older group will do more focused projects and go deeper into the skills. A healthy mid-morning snack will be provided, which may include some wild foods.
