Set to a backdrop of rich, traditional Khmer music this film is a feast for the senses and a glimpse into a different world. Lauren Lida (Liberty Bell class of ’03) introduces her non-profit organization that teaches ESL to children through the arts in rural Cambodia. In My Village, their first children’s book will be available. Confluence Gallery, Twisp.

The film invites you to journey to rural eastern Cambodia where the plows are pulled by water buffalo and the rice is harvested one tedious handful at a time. Meet the men who bear the scars of war and their children who work alongside them while optimistically looking toward the future.
