The Merc is pleased to offer an entertaining evening of Readers’ Theater under the direction of Jane Orme and filled with a local cast of women from a variety of generations. Snapshots takes audiences on an insightful journey depicting a group of women in all stages of maturity—from the teen years through middle age. With stories ranging from pure comedy to bittersweet drama, the play winds together anecdotes, monologues, and moments in time when all the women are forced to make a decision—the choice to go on as they have been, or find their own center.

Continuing The Merc’s Reader’s Theater series, Snapshots is presented as a reading with admission by donation. As a scaled-down production in which cast members use scripts while costumes and set are very minimal, Reader’s Theater allows an intimate look at the ideas and themes contained within the literature of the script.
