SPRING THAW & DRAW – NATURE JOURNALING FIELD DAY! THE SHRUB STEPPE IN BLOOM

May 17, 2019 12:30-5pm

Perri Howard and Mary Kiesau are offering a “Spring Thaw & Draw” series of nature journaling classes to get you outside and drawing. These Friday afternoon classes start with a short natural history-focused walk in the field led by Mary Kiesau, followed by drawing practice in the Velocity Made Studio led by Perri Howard. This spring’s classes have a B theme (Buds, Birds, Blossoms, and Bugs) and will meet on Fridays, 12:30pm-5:00pm, on May 17 and May 31.

The sessions are designed for everyone: beginners will learn lots of tips and step-by-step “recipes” for drawing and nature journaling, and more experienced students will hone in on details and more challenging drawing skills. Each class will begin with a short excursion outside and natural history lesson, then move indoors to Perri’s studio at TwispWorks.

The themed classes are:
MAY 17: Blossoms (spring wildflowers!)
MAY 31: Bugs (beetles, butterflies, bees and other insects)

Classes are $65 and all materials are included. Space is limited to 12 people per class. Classes are designed for ages 16 and up. If you would like to bring someone under the age of 16, please call or email Perri.
