Twisp Lodging Guide

Lodging in Twisp, 2019

Those who don’t know Twisp might be tempted to call it a “sleepy” little town, but au contraire–the only thing sleeping in Twisp will be you, when your head hits the pillow after a satisfying day spent exploring all Twisp has to offer. But where will that pillow be located? That’s up to you, once you select from a wide range of lodging options situated within and just outside the town limits.

Twisp River Suites offers luxury on the Twisp River.

Entering Twisp from the west, you can’t help but notice the charming yellow and white cottages on the south side of the highway. With its tennis court and BBQ area, the Idle-a-While Motel has a bit of the feel of a summer camp, with all the conveniences of a modern motel. The cottages have kitchenettes for self-catering, or you can take a quick walk into downtown Twisp to restaurants and bakeries. Dogs welcome.

Twisp River Inn, located 11 miles up Twisp River Road
boasts a hearty breakfast with fresh eggs, local fruit and
homemade bread. Nearby mountains, hikes are a highlight.

If you’re an outdoor recreationalist or angler, the Twisp River Inn sets you up well for trailhead and river access.Situated on 11 acres in the heart of the Twisp River Recreation area, the inn is conveniently located for those who want to explore the nearby mountains and rivers. Fresh eggs, homegrown fruit, and freshly baked bread in the mornings are the highlight of some guests’ experience. Pets welcome.

The Methow Valley Inn offers a spacious and charming kitchen with rental of the Inn. Perfect for special events.

Located just a short walk from town along the Twisp River, the River Pine Cottage is a perfect hideaway for guests who want a little more privacy than a hotel affords. The rustic pioneer cabin exterior gives way to modern amenities inside, including a small but fully-equipped kitchen and a 3/4 custom bath. Read your book on the deck or stroll into Twisp for the farmer’s market, an art gallery visit, or a stop at one ofTwisp’s many eateries. Two inns with distinctly different characters each sit one block from downtown Twisp, the Methow Valley Inn and the Twisp River Suites. The Methow Valley Inn (or “The Inn,” as locals call it), is arguably the most distinctive building in Twisp, with its gambrel roof, majestic 100-year-old maple tree, and lush gardens. Previously a B&B, the meticulously-restored 1912 building is available as a vacation rental for groups seeking four to eight bedrooms. No pets.

Twisp River Suites offers luxury on the Twisp River.
Pets are welcome and you can even book a Pet Suite.

The Twisp River Suites (“The Suites”) meanwhile, offers a combination of the communal atmosphere and thesanctuary of your own space. A large “club room” living area provides common space for conversation, dining, or watching TV, while private rooms and suites give guests privacy. Pets are not only welcome–they’re encouraged, at the Suites’ “Paws-a-While” pet-friendly lodging across the street from the main hotel. You and your four-legged friends have never experienced service like the pet amenities offered by the Pet Suites!

Methow Suites B & B comes equipped with a dream
playground and firepit for s’mores.

Just outside of Twisp, the Methow Suites B&B invites guests to “rest, relax, and rejuvenate” with a full bed-and-breakfast experience in a contemporary inn with a beautifully landscaped yard, park, and fire pit area. If you can still move after consuming the legendary home-cooked breakfast, you’ll want to venture out into the mountains that surround the inn.

On the eastern edge of Twisp, you’ll find the Sportsman Motel, with rooms at incredibly affordable rates. And if you’d rather camp, Riverbend RV Park offers RV sites, bathrooms, showers, and riverside tent camping.
