A New Home for Arts, Ideas & Community

For more than 35 years, Methow Arts has connected people across Okanogan County with artists, performances, arts education, public art & creative experiences.

Now, we're putting down roots in a new place.

This fall, Methow Arts becomes Steppe Arts, Okanogan County & we're opening a new community arts space in downtown Okanogan.

Located at 111 S 2nd Avenue, our new space is a place for artists, educators, students, creative professionals & community members to gather, make, learn & connect.

A physical space creates possibilities that a website or email simply can't.

We're imagining exhibitions on the walls, workshops around the table, artists sharing ideas, educators making connections & community members walking through the door with a question, an idea or simply some curiosity.

We've Been Here All Along

Opening a space in Okanogan doesn't mean we're suddenly expanding into Okanogan County.

For decades, Methow Arts has worked with schools, educators, artists & communities throughout the county. Teaching artists have traveled to rural classrooms. Performers have brought music & theater to schools & community spaces. Artists have created public art. Partnerships have grown across the region.

Our work has never been limited by the word "Methow" in our name. But we haven't had a physical place that reflects the full scope of that work.

Now we do.

The Okanogan space gives our countywide work a home, a place where people can walk through the door & connect with the artists, resources and opportunities that are already happening throughout Okanogan County.
