Steppe Arts in Okanogan

A New Home for Arts, Ideas & Community

For more than 35 years, Methow Arts has connected people across Okanogan County with artists, performances, arts education, public art & creative experiences.

Now, we're putting down roots in a new place.

This fall, Methow Arts becomes Steppe Arts, Okanogan County & we have opened our community arts space in downtown Okanogan.

Located at 111 S 2nd Avenue, our new space is a place for artists, educators, students, creative professionals & community members to gather, make, learn & connect.

Hours:
Thursday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

We’re hosting workshops & events at our space - check out what’s coming up!

Come on in!

A physical space creates possibilities that a website or email simply can't.

A place to see & celebrate work by local & regional artists.
A welcoming place to connect with Methow Arts, Steppe Arts & creative resources throughout Okanogan County.
An hourly/daily rentable workshop space where artists, educators & community members can teach, make & gather.
A place for artists and creative professionals to find connections, opportunities & support.

We're imagining exhibitions on the walls, workshops around the table, artists sharing ideas, educators making connections & community members walking through the door with a question, an idea or simply some curiosity.

We've Been Here All Along

Opening a space in Okanogan doesn't mean we're suddenly expanding into Okanogan County.

For decades, Methow Arts has worked with schools, educators, artists & communities throughout the county. Teaching artists have traveled to rural classrooms. Performers have brought music & theater to schools & community spaces. Artists have created public art. Partnerships have grown across the region.

Our work has never been limited by the word "Methow" in our name. But we haven't had a physical place that reflects the full scope of that work.

Now we do.

The Okanogan space gives our countywide work a home, a place where people can walk through the door & connect with the artists, resources and opportunities that are already happening throughout Okanogan County.

Have a creative idea? We’ve got the space for that!

Our Okanogan space has several spaces & rooms available to rent, with options to host a workshop, meeting, class, gathering, creative project, or event. Rent monthly/daily.
Bring your idea, gather your people, teach a class, host a workshop, or make something together!
