Methow Arts Alliance is dedicated to enriching lives across Okanogan County through diverse arts programming that inspires, educates, & builds community.

Our programs include Arts Education, where we bring professional artists into schools to engage students in creative learning.

A dynamic Performance Series featuring live shows & events that connect audiences to the performing arts.

Public Arts initiatives, including the development of the Twisp Creative District, which brings art into everyday spaces across the community.

Promotion of the Arts, which supports artists through exhibitions, resources, & community connections.

Each of these program areas plays a role in fostering creativity, cultural understanding,
& economic vitality throughout the region.

  • Our Arts Education program provides impactful art instruction to over 5,000 students in North Central Washington.

    We offer diverse art classes & workshops integrated into the school curriculum, encouraging creativity & critical thinking among students.

    By collaborating with educators, we enhance the overall learning experience & foster a deeper appreciation for the arts.

  • The Performance Series offers a diverse range of performances year-round, including music, theater, dance, & more.

    It brings high-quality, live performances to local schools & the community, providing opportunities for local artists to showcase their talents.

    This series enriches the cultural life of the community with diverse & accessible performances, enhancing the region's artistic vibrancy.

  • Public Arts Projects engage the community through various beautification initiatives, showcasing local artists' work in public spaces.

    These projects enhance the visual appeal of community areas, fostering a sense of pride & ownership among residents.

    Additionally, they promote cultural tourism & encourage community engagement by creating vibrant, art-filled environments.

  • The Promotion of the Arts program markets & advocates for local arts & artists, organizing community events to boost their visibility.

    It also supports cultural tourism initiatives, helping to highlight the region's artistic offerings & attract visitors to local cultural events.

Fireside Writing Workshop

The weather might be frightful outside but we’ll cozy up inside with pencil, paper & a warm cup of tea to invite the muses in.

February 17th-20th
9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

In this workshop we’ll write poems & prose that connect us to the current season or the far off seasons we’d like to visit!

This workshop is designed for anyone who would like to explore their own voice through writing. In a comfortable, accepting environment we'll read, write, & share our own writing.

We'll also examine the literary devices, pacing & precision that makes good writing sing.
What better time to take pencil to paper than when it’s cold outside!
