Medusa Quartet
October 10th, 2025 | Location: TBD
Get ready to stomp your feet, laugh, cry, and hear sounds you’ve never heard before. Medusa is a genre-defying chamber-folk quartet that fuses centuries-old string traditions with contemporary storytelling and original compositions.
With a spellbinding lineup of instruments—some long forgotten, others reinvented—this all-star collective of folk innovators weaves together the sounds of the Middle East, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Appalachia, and more.
With their debut album nominated for Instrumental Group of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards, Medusa tempts audiences to redefine what is beautiful, inviting back the raw, wild, and weird sounds once cast out of "polite society."
Named after one of mythology’s most misunderstood figures, Medusa channels the power of transformation, reclaiming what was once feared and turning it into something fiercely magical. Their live shows are equal parts virtuosic, visceral, and unforgettable.
