Cascadia offers Cherrington Memorial Music Scholarships to local Students

Cascadia will award three music scholarships for local students as a part of the Christine Cherrington Memorial Scholarship fund. Awards will be determined by a panel of adjudicators selected by Cascadia.

Three Scholarship Opportunities:
1. NEED BASED: Financial need (Application due Feb 28, audition required on March 9th)
2. MERIT: (Application due Feb 28, audition required on March 9th)
3.  LIBERTY BELL SENIOR STUDENT: $1,000  to a graduating Liberty Bell High School senior with priority given to students who plan to major or minor in music at an institution of higher learning. (Application due Apr 30)

Applicants for the Cherrington merit- and need-based scholarships must demonstrate a commitment to the study of music and active involvement in music.

Private music teachers can recommend their students for scholarships, and applicants can pick up a scholarship application form from their teachers or at the Cascadia office, Room 9 in the Methow Valley Community Center. Information about the scholarship for high school seniors is available in the counselor’s office at Liberty Bell High School.
