Photography Workshop: Barns of the Methow Valley with Ryan T. Bell

Monday and Thursday Evenings, September 16th, 19th, 23rd, and 26th, 4pm – 7pm,
Cost $175, Registration is required, space is limited.

Travel the backroads of the Methow Valley on a photographic journey to document the region’s historic barns. Some barns are fully-functional, others are mere skeletons of their former glory. And each one tells a story about how we inhabit this land.

During this workshop, participants will “go on assignment” with instructor Ryan T Bell, a National Geographic Explorer, to document a few of the valley’s most iconic barns. Participants will expand on their photographic abilities and learn to adopt the mindset of “making” – not “taking” – pictures that tell compelling stories.

Field trips will be paired with classroom time to learn the workflow of converting a digital file on a camera, into a beautifully-processed picture.

All abilities welcome. A DSLR camera is required. The instructor has a few cameras available for rent.
