Join artist and color-theorist Kimberly Trowbridge on a plein-air painting retreat in the heart of the Methow Valley, Twisp, WA. During this 3-day workshop you will create multiple oil-paint studies from nature and combine those studies into larger, invented landscapes. Mornings and early evenings will be spent on the field collecting color “data” from observation. Afternoons will be spent in a gorgeous, newly renovated storefront studio, 24HR MART.
Note from Kimberly:
I have just returned from a painting residency in Twisp and I am so inspired by the colors and the landscape!! My plein-air works are in preparation for several large-scale paintings that will be exhibited at 24HR MART next summer, 2017. I am excited to return to the valley and I would love to share this process and experience with you! Join me!
